Cravings. What makes them? posted by twistinside on Monday, June 25, 2001, at 19:06:41:

I got a craving yesterday for a quesadilla. Okay, that's not weird. However, I wanted one from Taco Bell, a restaurant I can't stand, and I wanted the chicken one with the spicy green...things...in it. So I got one, took about three bites, and almost gagged. It was disgusting, and it was only after I ate some that I remembered eating one before and not liking it.
Once in awhile I crave Vlasic pickles. The sandwich stackers, to be precise. I get out a fork and a plate, and sit there eating five slices of pickles. Why? I have no clue. Then the rest of the jar sits in the fridge, souring, because after a day or two I don't want any more.
OH! I just thought of something food-related. I can't drink root beer anymore. I used to LOVE root beer, particularly Barq's. So when my grandfather was in the hospital, I'd always go down and buy two cups of the stuff and drink it in his hospital room. Well, ever since he passed away, I haven't been able to drink the stuff. It's not that I don't like it, it just makes me feel sick. I won't even be thinking of him when I begin to drink it. It just makes me gag.
