Way to make me cry, B_G. I was brought up believing aspirations beyond getting -- and keeping for at least 25 years -- a job working for someone else and making enough ( making more than enough?! you're the family hero!) to support yourself were fine... for daydream material... for short story inspiration... for *other people* to happen to. Nobody said these words out loud, mind you, but the clear implication was that you were just plain not being realistic if you expected or aspired to anything different. Notice I didn't say better; just different.

I'm a firm believer in the idea that if you let them, the right decisions will make themselves for you. Sounds like that's what happened to you. Who are you to question it, I ask? ;-)
