After reading the review, I think I may have spotted the problem: I've never seen any of the tv show. I don't think I was alive when the show played. if i was, i was really young. that might partly explain why i kinda liked the movie while you didn't. of course, now that i think about it, they really DID manage to make a basically simple plot really complicated. how did they do that? oh well... my complete enjoyment of a movie has been ruined now, but why not? it's not like i was particularly planning on watching it again very soon.
