not in the warmth of your smile
not in your so-called friendship
or in cold companionship
not in how far you'd walk for me
not in what you've let me see
not in love i've seen here long
or in your mocking whispered songs
not in your hugs or laughter
not in your pleasure and joy
not in you at all, my once-found friend
you've let me down but not again
for i will guard my heart from you
and not let what you say or do
now toy with emotions true, but overflowing
