The beef industry tried to sue her for defamation because her information was incorrect; however, people believe all the bull (excuse the pun) she spouts.
Mad Cow desease has been found in deer herds in America recently (wild herds, I understand, rather than farmed), and there have been at least 3 cases of Creutzfeld-Jakobs desease (the human form, from eating infected spinal chord) in the US linked to this.
