These guys are used a lot in Southeast Asia. If you have one of these to haul your wagon, you are big stuff in the village.

Amen, Brother!
Could be why I'm restoring garden tractors...

> And yes, the Maytag has a kick starter just like the ones on my Cushmans. I just found out thru the internet that it was built in 1932, which makes it older than me. I'm a 1933 model. Maytag called it a "Model 92 Multimotor." I think this one has half a horsepower. Most were used on washing machines, but some powered lawnmowers, generators, grindstones, pumps etc.

One seems to always turn up in the "antique power" shows at county fairgrounds. If you want to see one in action, hie thee to one of these.

>You would like my son's 1968 Wheelhorse lawnmower. It looks like a small scale tractor, but it's bigger than the average riding mower.

There's a guy in Concord who specializes in buying, refurbishing, and reselling old riders, tillers, and garden tractors. He has one, sans engine and deck, in the yard. My wife wants me to get it and put a motor in it. "Just to have it." God! We collectors are hopeless!

>I like old mechanical stuff, but my big weakness is vintage motorscooters. I have two restored Cushmans and several waiting for restoration. I also have a Vespa, some Hondas and a Benelli, which is an Italian made 50cc motorbike built in 1966. I think the Maytag will look good in my collection.

My weakness is tools and motorized implements. After I finish the Plant-It, I have two mid-60s vintage Gravelys to get cracking on.
