This would have been absolutely stunning if we hadn't seen Cirque du Soliel the week before. At Cirque du Soliel, the aerialists did some fascinating movements: spinning, twirling, looping, oh-my-gosh-how-is-she-doing-thats. In The Lion King they just did some basic twirls and circles. "I could do that!" I wanted to scream. After seeing Cirque's contortionists, I didn't impressed with some of The Lion King's stretches and dance routines.

Oh I LOVED Lion King! I saw it in NYC last fall and thought it was just wonderful. Of course, my heart will always belong to Phantom of the Opera. I knew all of the words before I went, thanks to my parents, so it was wonderful to actually put them into specific scenes. Though I had already made up a story in my head, the real story was just as good. =)
