Well, on Sunday two of my best friends had a baby. John Alexander Allen born at 8PM (British Summer Time) Sun 6th May 2001 in MAyday Hospital, Croydon, after a 16 hour labour and lots of painkillers.

This is the first time any of my friends has given birth, and as my first name is Alexander (though I never use it and the parents didn't know this), I've been given permission to claim the kid was named after me. I'm due to be a godmother for the kid, so I'm feeling all exited. The mother is a pagan, the father a lapsed jew and my religion varies depending on my mood, so I doubt it'll be your usual christening.

Well, the short end of the story is this: Everyone go out and buy yourself a cigar and send me the recipt.
