I write this at my sixth form college. The sun has made it out after wondering for a while which is great particularly after the day of random British weather that we were treated to yesterday. Sun...rain...thunder...blazing sunshine...hail...snow (I'm lying about the snow) and then clear skies and sunshine and beautiful stars and such. Mad. I bet the weather's not so weird in America.

But I digress.

My reason for writing is two-fold. Firstly....IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!!!!! HURRAHHHH!!!!I'M 18 TOMORROW!!!!! HURRAYYYYYYY!!!!

My second reason is to argue for the merits of one of the best films ever made. "The Sound Of Music" Julie Andrews (god bless her and her vocal chords), Christopher Plummer, Baroness Schrader (whoever played her?)and the children. They are all so great. SUCH a good film. Don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing with anyone in particular but I noticed a post about Mary Poppins (another classic)and felt led to write. Oh and also, have you noticed what fun it is to sing anything in a cockney accent? Great fun to be had by all. Dick Van Dyck and Audrey Hepburn had it sorted.

Oh, one other thing, do you guys in America get either "Diagnosis Murder" with Dick Van Dyck and his stunning son Barry or Australian soap extrordinaire "Neighbours"? Just wondering...I mean, you don't get Marmite.....
