I live on an island about 7 miles across, so if you want to go for a drive for half an hour or so to calm down you go round... and round ... and round ... and round ... etc..

Liliane,
Since geography is one of my hobbies, you really got my attention. I love islands and yours sounds like my kind of place. My first thought was Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. Then I saw your name which sounds Hawaiian, and I thought Molokai. It's about seven miles across but much longer than that. Still, it has no freeways and no traffic lights, but speed limits in Hawaii are in miles, not kilometers. Come to think of it I don't remember any speed limits at all on Molokai. If you go too fast, you fall into the ocean. Next thought was Santa Cataline off California where family cars are golf carts and personal transportation is usually a scooter. Then I thought of the barrier islands on the southern coast of the US from Virgina to Florida to Texas. Ocracoke? Too narrow. Key West? Wall to wall traffic lights.
Padre Island? Naw, you can drive to the mainland. and you can't go in circles.
I hope you condider yourself lucky. If I never see another freeway it will be too soon!
