This reminded me about a random people moment I and my ex girl friend had when we went to USA two years ago. We stayed mainly in New York for two weeks, but had three days in Washington, too. And in Washington, we took a bus to see the cathedral. On our way back, we discovered that we didn't have exact change for the bus, as was required, and there were no stores or shops or anything around where we could get some, either. Besides, it was after closing time for most stores anyway. So, basically, we had no means of getting back to our hotel for a pretty long time.

There were two or three other people waiting for the bus also, and we asked if any of them could split our hundred dollar bill (or what it was, I don't remember exactly, but it was fairly big). No one could, of course. There was an old lady there who we talked a bit to about the problem, and she ended up giving us the few dollars the bus fare cost. We were very grateful, and continued chatting with the lady all the way back with the bus. She was very nice to talk to, and she told us, among other things, that she LOVED New York and thought Washington was a really dull place. (Sorry, Kiki. ;-)

Trav"she just made our day"holt.
