Back when I was employed, I did a marketing sheet for my former company's printing services, and created a collage of all kinds of different things that we had printed for different places. One of the samples that featured prominenty in my design was the cover of a Hilo Hattie catalog.

I think Hattie is gone now, but her company lives on. It makes most of the famous Aloha shirts that are pretty standard wear in Hawaii. They are considered everything from casual to almost formal. You are dressed right in Hawaii if you wear an Aloha shirt (not tucked in).

At the Hilo Hattie's store on Oahu, the largest Aloho shirt ever, hangs on the wall. It would be loose on King Kong.

I wouldn't think of going to Hawaii without my Aloha shirt, and I wouldn't think of going without stopping at Hilo Hattie's.

Maybe I should consider a carreer in writing ad copy.
