My hometown is Dayton, Ohio. I suppose our biggest claim to fame is that Dayton was the home town of Wilbur and Orville Wright. The Wright Bicycle Shop in Dayton was the location where they designed, built, tested, and basically invented the airplane.

Of course, Kitty Hawk, North Carolina grabs some of that fame too, since the Wright Brothers took their plane there to actually fly it for the first time. Ohio wasn't windy enough or something. That's okay with me; I used to live there too. (North Caronlina, that is.)

Dayton also hosted some sort of peace accords/talks/thingies back in the nineties at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, but I don't know what the big deal about that was...I don't think much came of it anyway. :oP
