You are listing many signs of depression and that is enough to warrent seeking professional help for a diagnosis. You don't need a psychiatrist, your family doctor could do this, as I don't think you are in serious trouble, i.e. suicidal. Some depression is situational and others chronic. There are many medications that could help if you work with your doctor closely to monitor the effects until you get the correct brand and dose. The medication could be taken for 6 months to a year and then stopped. If you are prescribed a medication for depression, I strongly recommend that you also seek the help of a therapist, (they are avialable at the school or through your insurance) Talk therapy along with some medication is the ideal way to treat depression. Be kind to yourself, seek help today.
