Other memories: Kermit doing the alphabet with a little girl who substituted "Cookie Monster" for a letter, i.e. "A-B-C-D-E-F-Cookie Monster..." and then GIGGLE. It was CUTE.

Oh, and kermit in Africa(?) saying the alphabet, and then a "tribe" of puppet people in African garb saying it, with Kermit saying words that start with the letters.
