Which is exactly why I NEVER, EVER try to learn anything about a movie before I go to it. Except, of course, if it's a bad movie.

Example: Back in 1995, when Disney's Pochahontas came out, I read this book about the movie, and I learned the whole plot before I saw the movie. Therefore the entire thing was wrecked and I didn't enjoy a bloody minute of it.


> I view the upcoming Harry Potter movie somewhat skeptically. Analyze the Potter series to date -- all four books are mysteries. _Harry Potter and the Sorceror's/Philospher's Stone_ has been the most widely-read mystery novel over the past four, five years now. Children have read this book. Adults have read this book. Now these same people are going to see a movie adaptation of the book -- and they all know who did it!


They're mysteries? I didn't know that. I wasn't planning on seeing the movies anyway, because *everybody's* going to see them (not really, but you know what I mean). I want to read the books someday though.
