I've had my share of moving, too. I don't remember all the moves, but we moved to another part of San Diego (I was born there) when I was 2. Then, when I was 4, we moved up to the Bay Area. We lived in a condo until our house was finished (new house, funfun!). My mom was pregnant with my little sister at the time, and we moved into our new house just a few days before my sister was born.

Then, when I was in second grade, came the big move... from California to the Netherlands. Whew. That was interesting... we knew no one there (well, my dad knew people from his work, but what does that matter to a kid?), didn't know the language, etc. We lived in a hotel for about 3 weeks until we found a house to rent, then moved in there. It was okay, but it was a typical Dutch house - skinny and tall row house. Eh, okay.

Then, in 4th grade (I think) we moved to another house. Same village, just a different part of town. That house RULED. It had a big yard (houses in Holland generally do NOT have big yards) and it had a little canal in the front yard with duckies and stuff. (I loved the duckies. They would come peck on the glass patio door for food when we were at the table. They RULED.) We stayed there until the end of 6th grade, when we moved back to California (but back to our original Bay Area house, which we rented out while we were gone). We haven't moved since, but once we ALMOST moved to Canada.

Maybe I haven't moved that many times as compared to some, but I wonder if anyone else has made such a big geographical move - from California to Europe - as I have? ;)

Sosi"oh, and I bet Sam has a lot of moving stories..."qui
