The whole beanie baby phenomenon is something I do not understand. I mean, I certainly see the appeal in cute little stuffed animals (I adore stuffed animals, m'self), but I don't understand why people would pay "a thousand or two" dollars for one. But, then, the same thing happens with a lot of collectibles, and I don't understand that either.
