Won't? It hasn't. The crazy is over. Early 1998, I predicted it would wane later that year. Now McDonald's is doing teenies again, and the crowds there don't seem any higher than normal. Actually that's not bad, really -- beanie babies had two solid years of popularity, which is more than most toys get. The "very rare" ones, like the dark blue elephant, however, will probably always be pricy (though less so than before) because even though the bulk of the beanie baby collectors are gone, there are still a great many toy collectors who will no doubt remain interested into the distant future.
