No pouting allowed. The first post was just a teaser and it worked.

We met Sam and Leen at Newick's restaurant. Another of my expectations was to have lobster for the first time and Leen promised to show me how to eat those buggers. Meeting people for the first time can be anxious but Sam and Leen were just as I expected so we felt at ease very quickly.

First, the fashion report. Sam's hair was shorter than the pictures I had seen and he has himself a very pretty wife.

After the initial formalities, we found our table and I had to decide the amount of lobster I should get. Since I had no idea, I ordered two which was obviously too much for a novice like myself. Sam and Leen were entertained by my attempts to crack open the critter and Shannon didn't appreciate my using the hollow shell as a puppet. I do have to say that lobster is messy if you don't know what you are doing but I'm glad I had it because it was good. Leen was a very good teacher and Sam made a fine audience. We also made sure to tell them about our experiences up to that point (please refer to the previous posts for a recounting of those tales).

After dinner, we perused the restaurant's gift shop and laughed at the naked frogs and other randomness.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to spend more time with the Sam and Leen but we did experience our first New England snowfall with them as we left the establishment. Although it wasn't snowing hard, it was darn cool (and cold). So, after safely delivering Ellmyruh's special delivery, we parted ways.

We then promptly drove into a ditch.

Ok, not really.
