While there, I was interested in hearing a true New England accent. It wasn't as overwhelming as I thought it would be. I definitely had more trouble understanding people in Tennessee but I did like hearing people say, "cah," and "pahk." The town of Peabody is "Peab(ih)dee" with the "ih" said very fast. When asking for directions, I was told to look for March Street. I thought he said Marty and we he repeated, "Mahch," I recited it back the exact same way.

I did hear one person say, "wicked cool" so I can die peacefully now.
