*shrug* When I saw the condensations for Hamlet and The Sun Also Rises, they cracked me up. And it was important to Dave that the Huckleberry Finn condensation not say anything about the subtext that makes it the Great American Novel.

I do agree that "usually" the one-line condensations aren't as good, and pretty much ever since we've started, I've sought to make sure the one-liners are kept to a minimum. But it just happened that for the books up in the rotation this month, it seemed to be the right approach, and I haven't changed my mind. *shrug* Maybe you'll like the next batch better.
