Don't pay anything, all the responsibility they have is to make sure it doesn't contain a virus and won't wipe your drive.

I agree with Sam. Besides, having done work as a beta tester and knowing a thing or two about programming I can say that people can be too hard on companies for releasing buggy products (especially games now that they've moved into 3D and are becoming increasingly complex). Of course why the Petz games don't work right I don't know but they are just free add-ons.

However, if they're using these continous add-ons as selling points then I think they have a bit more responsibility to at least fix the bugs once they figure out what they are. I'd be upset if I bought a product with the promise of add-ons being released and then the company didn't seem to have any quality control on the add-ons.
