Well, you can't rule anything out with absolute certainty, but I've never had anything like that happen. The weirdest thing that ever happened to me was when I got the exact same map twice in the same day (not just a feeling of déja vu; after I recognized the layout of trees, I proceeded to grab two level boosters and the whitestone at the exact locations I remembered them).
