Yep, that's the right movie.
He was wearing the sunglasses that doubled as a video monitor (the camera was in a pack of cigs that he placed on the counter) so he could see anyone that came up behind him.
You're also right about the ensuing gunfight and the poor old man who was huddling in one of the stalls.
