> Speaking of movies, my wife rented "The Green Mile" and I watched at least a half-hour of it before giving up. It had a couple of good actors in it, but the plot, if it ever developed one, was stupid. Other words like gross, silly, corny, and unoriginal come to mind. Tom Hanks deserved better. I kept watching for Bud Abbott and Lou Coustello to pop in. Yeah, I know. I didn't watch much of it, but I have standards.

??? Silly? Corny? Abbott and Costello? Are you sure you're talking about "The Green Mile" and not "Bachelor Party" or something? "The Green Mile" was not a slapstick comedy, intentionally or unintentionally. As for "unoriginal," I think that criticism would have been foiled had you stuck around; there isn't really any other movie like it that I can think of off the top of my head. The movie a Best Picture nominee at the Oscars. Not that you're not free not to like it (Ha! Decipher THAT sentence!), but I have to believe you've either got the wrong title or didn't give it enough of a chance.
