While I make it a rule never to discuss the meaning of my own works in too much detail, I would like to note that Mr. Stoddard was quite correct in his assumption that the ending to "Split Stephen" is not faithful to my original vision. While I considered having my name removed from the work, I came to the eventual conclusion that the rest of it is strong enough to stand on its own merit.

Hopefully someday the legal battle over the rights to "Split Stephen" will be finished and all my fans will be able to know precisely how it should come out (hint: Time Travelling Dinosaurs).
