All the Agatha Christie series you guys have -- Poirot, with David Suchet; Miss Marple, with Joan Hickson; Partners In Crime, with Francesca Annis and James Warwick -- are featured on it, plus a bunch of other series like Lord Peter Wimsey, with Ian Carmichael. Same shows, different packaging. Basically, the "Mystery!" open credits show up, then a host (currently Diana Rigg) introduces whatever show it's going to be, and then we get the opening credits to that show, then the show itself. > > > > > > We also have a cable channel called A&E (Arts & Entertainment) that shows a lot of these British mystery series under their original names. > > > > I've read all the Agatha Christie books, and Lord Peter, but only seen the Agatha ones on video. I'm a big fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (think Sherlock Holmes) and Agatha Christie, myself. I remember one teacher in high school who assigned us to read "The Hound of the Baskervilles." I generally hate all books that are mandatory reading, but that was definitely an exception. > > Ell"Read this geology textbook? Hahaha! Surrrre."myruh
Oh man...how could I forget Sir Conan Doyle!? I've read those too...and seen movies, but the movies aren't spectacular, I don't think.
...Ok, I had something to say about Sherlock Holmes and all, and got distracted, and now don't remember. Oh well, it probably wasn't important. But really, anyone got any favorite mystery authors?
