About the only thing I thought that might be considered offensive about what we did last night was the continued usage of the unfiltered word "fag" and it's derivatives.

Let me try clear up something. Use of that word has sort of unfortunately crept back into my vocabulary because of Jeff K. My favorite is actually the misspelled derivative "fagot", which, by the way, is properly pronounced "Fay-got".

It's funny when Stephen and I call each other "fagots" over AIM for no other reason than the two of us think it's funny. That's circular reasoning, but hey, it's the only reasoning that even comes close to explaining how I feel about that. It's generally *not* funny when used within earshot of anyone not in on the Jeff K. joke, or who just doesn't like the word anyway.

I don't generally use that word in chat, because a few times people have taken exception to it when I have, and it's filtered now anyway. In fact, I like what the filter changes it to ("Bundle of sticks") much better than I like the word itself anyway.

I fully expected "fag" to be filtered as well. It surprised the heck out of me when I used it the first time last night and discovered that it *wasn't* filtered. I mean, it's not very likely we're going to get some British person in here talking about smoking, and if we do, he can bloody well learn to say "cigarette." ;-)

Anyway, I then *continued* to use the word because, well, that's how I figured frat boys would speak. It's probably the only thing I even remotely feel bad about doing last night.
