> Every year at my junior high school, at the "Holiday Assembly" (read: christmas assembly with some other stuff thrown in so everyone's happy), we do (or did) our version of The 12 Days of Christmas.... well, technically it's the one everyone knows. But there are a couple cool traditions surrounding it... the different "days" are given out to different sections of the auditorium and the section stands up and sings their part (and then 11 goes to teachers, and 12 to the principal, and 1 to everyone).

We had a very similar tradition at my highschool. Every year we would sing the 12 days of Christmas, except in the assembly the principal would take volunteers to play the parts of each group and they would act out their part. "Six geese a-laying" was always extremely funny and almost always degenerated into some rendition of the funky chicken. Sometimes the "ladies dancing" had to be taken aside for a stern talking to after assembly, though! ;-) And "five golden rings" sometimes took 10 or 20 seconds to complete. You'd be surprised at the lungs on some of my former classmates.
