Every year at my junior high school, at the "Holiday Assembly" (read: christmas assembly with some other stuff thrown in so everyone's happy), we do (or did) our version of The 12 Days of Christmas.... well, technically it's the one everyone knows. But there are a couple cool traditions surrounding it... the different "days" are given out to different sections of the auditorium and the section stands up and sings their part (and then 11 goes to teachers, and 12 to the principal, and 1 to everyone). "2 turtledoves" always went to the section of the auditorium with the 9th grade chorus in it, and somehow, who knows when, the tradition started that the entire section stands up, screams two turtledoves at the top of their lungs while stomping and pumping fists on beat, then screams and throws programs into the air, causing the pianist to have to catch up wildly. i don't know if that still happens, cause the 9th grade chorus teacher, who led it, left a couple years ago, and it just wouldn't be the same without her. One of the funniest things that happened was that a couple of the other sections tried to copy us my year, and ended up getting in trouble for throwing programs. Hehe.... anyway, that was fun.
