Before my family's vacation to the Grand Canyon, I'd never been east of the Pacific states. I hold the L sound longer than the A in "Palm." Plus, my accent is obviously the correct one, because it's the one you hear in movies and most national TV. ;)

My brother got back recently from boot camp in Georgia and Missouri. He is great at mimicking accents, and he demonstrated the ones he heard. My favorite was the Kentucky accent.
