If you're simply on your way to class, they don't run when you approach. I know most squirrels store up food for the winter, but I think these squirrels operate differently. They store up food for the summer, when a majority of the campus population is on vacation.

Squirrels and birds are the only reason why having to walk between separate buildings to get from class to class in cold Edmonton winters doesn't totally suck.

Yay for urban wildlife!
