sounds like our house. We've lived here for just over 10 years (it wasw 10 in August sometime.) We bought it, oh, I dunno a few months before we moved in, and it was a definite fixer-upper. It was built in the 20s, and it's (now) a beautiful house... but at the time, a woman who smoked constantly lived in it, and the house was just a mess in general. My dad promised my mom it would be all fixed up by the time we moved in.... bah. we're still not done. Granted, he did all the major stuff (fixing the floor, tearing out and replacing basically all the ceilings and walls...) before we moved in. but we're STILL working on it, and i doubt it will EVER be done. but that's okay, its beautiful and it's fun.
