This is interesting...

My school is made up primarily of spoiled, rich, but often smart kids of conservative parents...However, Gore got nearly half the votes in our mock election while Bush and Nadar only received 25 percent, more or less, third party candidates only receiving 2 or 3 percent. Though I have witnessed a lot of kids repeating their parents' opinions without really knowing what they're talking about, I think that a lot of kids get into politics and put effort into thinking through their opinions. Considering that Bush promises tax cuts to middle class families, what everyone in my community is, I found the results surprising.
