> Who the devil can we really vote for?
Well, we have to vote for *someone*.
> We have Al Gore, who can't open his mouth without lying.
> He's claimed to invent the internet
Well, technically--
He didn't invent the internet, and he didn't develop routers or drivers or protocols. However, it's a little known fact that Gore DID take initiative in 'creating the internet'-- on the legislative side of things, he certainly made it possible. He wrote most of the bills that separated the internet from ARPAnet-- thus, making it a domain of the public. He also signed many other bills that gave funding (IIRC) to the people who made it possible.
> Obviously we don't want a compulsive liar in office.
Well, yeah. Plus he needs a constant supply of Energizer batteries or he'll die. You know, what with being a robot and all.
> We have Bush, who hasn't had a drink for 12 years and still can't speak English. I'm sorry, but the man is a moron. I'm not referring to his political beliefs, I'm referring to his brain power. Listening to what he says, it's very hard to form a favorable opinion of his intelligence.
I heard he was dyslexic.
> We have Pat Buchannan, who's currently running radio ads advocating a heavy dose of religion in the federal government, and bashing gays.
Would you rather have Ross Perot?
> We have Ralph Nader. I don't even know where to begin with him. The Green Party has come up with some winners in past years. . .Federalize the top 500 companies, etc etc. And Nader himself is basically going to work on the enviornment and kicking the collective butt of the auto industry, and throw everything else by the wayside.
He's got some wierd ideas (I never heard of the 'federalize the top 500 companies' thing) but I like his stance on freedoms and speech.
> So basically, we don't have ANYONE who is qualified for the job. What are we to do?
Start over from scratch.
