I'm bummed. My place of employment recently started blocking certain types of web sites. It's perfectly understandable, since the types of sites that are blocked are not likely to be business-related. (so far I've discovered that "web hosting" sites like geociites, angelfire, xoom, tripod, etc. and also MP3.com is blocked.)
What stinks is that I cannot use my handy-dandy T1 line work access anymore after working hours to post material to my web sites, such as my son's picture pages or my design newsletter. I was able to do this before, and it was much more convenient than trying to do it from home on my pokey 14.4. They've not only blocked sites hosted by these providers, but blocked the main sites.
They also seem to have blocked the ability to upload anything to the WWW. So even if I could access Angelfire or Tripod, I couldn't post my material. And I can't post to the message forum from work anymore. :-( Oh well.
I understand why they've done this. I'm sure I'll get a lot more work done now, right? I'm just bummed.
