I saw a *great* TV ad once in which a guy was holding up cards with the lyrics of "Israelites", as he heard them. I wish I could remember the whole thing. It was hilarious. The best of it was that his lyrics sounded SO MUCH MORE like the words you were hearing than the actual words did. I defy anyone to see that ad and ever again hear that song as anything but "Whoa-oh-oh, me ears are alight."

Another good similar thing I saw had the lyrics of (was it?) UB40's cover of "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You." If you haven't heard their version, believe me, it may not make sense, but this is exactly what it sounds like with that accent:
