You're talking about the four non-races at Daytona and Talladega where they use restrictor plates. For renewed interest in NASCAR, watch Bristol, Martinsville, Dover, Darlington, and Charolotte. Real racing, passing, bumping, those tracks have it all. You can even enjoy Daytona and Talladega if you have the right mindset, but it's not something I can explain.
