What the commercials are like posted by Ferrick on Wednesday, August 2, 2000, at 14:34:18:
> The two ads I have seen use the same characters, a man and a woman, supposedly married or dating. First scene, they are stuck in traffic, not knowing what to do, and three options show up on the screen that are very general. One is checked, and we see our couple agree and, even though they say they are going to park, it looks like they get out of their car in the middle of traffic and pull out their mountain bikes from the back (large interior) and bike through the mess.
LOL. So what they're trying to say is, this car is so awful that you won't mind abandoning it in traffic and biking to your destination, knowing that it will either be totalled by following traffic, towed away, or stolen?
> Next scene, more choices pop up and we see them on a dock, pulling out a DJs load of CDs so they can play music out the back of the car. They can also control the stereo from the back. A bunch of people are dancing with them on the dock (so fake).
Can you imagine what life would be like if we really acted the way people in commercials do? After you've danced in public with your friends, you can go to a restaurant and do hugely exaggerated eye-rolling and slow-motion "mm MMM!" expressions with every mouthful. Then, in the evening, you can go home and do your laundry. Make sure you explain all about the powder to your cute small child, who will be deeply interested and excited. Then do a little dance around the house grinning like a maniac.
I bet your nearest and dearest would call for the men with white coats and giant butterfly nets within hours.
