mindless rambling about birthdays

Until you are 21, birthdays are your friend. After that they become your enemy. Later, they become your worst enemy.

How many birthdays have you had when you reach 21 years of age? Well if you count the day you were born, it's 22. Most people just count birthday anniversaries.

Did you hear about the guy who became a grandfather on his tenth birthday anniversary?

And then there's the story of the twins who were born a few minutes apart. One on December 31 and the other on January 1. They were still twins, but they were born on a different day in different years.

Still wondering about the grandfather mentioned above? Would it help to know that he was born on Feb. 29?

I don't get candles on my cake anymore. Fire Marshall's orders.

The nice thing about the year 2000 is that it makes it easier to calculate age. Quickly now, how old is a person born in 1975? How old is a 1928 Ford? How old is a 1946 Roosevelt dime? Easy, ain't it!
How "soon can I start counting birthdays back w"ard
