If you took route 26 east from Portland into Ohio, then took Ohio 49 south to Greenville, then took Ohio 36 east to I-75 at Piqua, Ohio, you'd be only about 7 miles north of Troy, Ohio, which is where my humble abode lies.

There's the Limberlost State Historical site about 10 miles north in Geneva, and some sort of Glass Museum in Dunkirk to the west. I don't see anything else around there on my map. Do you have relatives there? Or are you going there for some sort of obscure motorscooter show?

Actually, it's a motorbike, scooter and bicycle show. I'm going there to pick up my 1953 Allstate DeLuxe motorscooter (made by Cushman). I had it professionally restored and Portland was a convenient place to meet. I've never been to that show, but I've heard good things about it. Of course, I heard good things about the meet in Bucyrus, Ohio about six years ago, and I haven't been back since.

I live about 150 miles from Murfreesboro, near Knoxville. However, I went to MTSU down in 'boro and still have family in the area. From here to Portland I go I-75 to Cincinnati and US27 to Portland.

I won't have time for any sightseeing, but I'm taking my grandson who just got back from Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and I haven't heard all his stories yet. We'll have fun. I guess I'll have to file a trip report on RinkWorks.
