Well, I do live in Sacramento but alas, I am a college student. I don't even know where I'll be living next year. And next summer I'm getting married...

If you want the temperature to be around the 60-70's, I would recommend that you stay near the coast. In Sacramento the thermometer often surpasses 100 degrees (Fahrenheit) in the summer.

For touristy things other than those you already mentioned, there are the wineries in the Napa Valley. I've never taken the tours through there, but I know several people who have and they all enjoy it. Personally, I am partial to the extreme northern part of California. If you get a chance to see Mt. Shasta, it's an amazing experience. I grew up there, so I can give you tips and pointers.
