Yes, I know I'm not Brunnen-G, and I already saw that answer. But I thought You might want to know how script writing is taught here in Finland.

I was first taught to write in block letters (UPPER-CASE LETTERS). In grade two I learned a "font" that is (I think) very much like the American one, with all those loops and funny-looking r's and s's. When I was in grade three or four of Finnish school, age 9 or 10, a new "font" was introduced in the Finnish school system. Our teacher thought it would be easier not to teach us a new way of writing, so I still write in the old way, same as my parents and grandparents.

My sister, two years younger than me, was taught the new way that looks a lot like printing letters, with almost no connections from letter to letter at all, which sounds a lot like the English way. I personally am much faster when writing in the old way, but that might be because I have never learned to write properly in the new way. And I also like the old way much more.
