There's a place we like to camp in northern New Hampshire that's on a peninsula on a lake -- woods all around, but water front on three sides. The breeze takes the bugs right out. Never seen any snakes there, and there's nothing bad in the water, either.

Heh. I've camped quite a few times(always in Florida), and I've never encountered any pigs, wild or otherwise. Mosquitoes? Yes. Snakes? Amazingly, no. I've seen a few snakes in my yard, though, but only one was poisonous. I gave him the axe.
