Oh sure. I used to love Goodkind until I started reading Jordan, then I realized just how much Goodkind borrows from Jordan. I mean, it's so obvious that Goodkind learned what a "good" fantasy novel is all about by reading WOT. Here are some more similarities:

WOT: Rand finds out he has strange powers that will kill him if he doesn't learn to control them (and will eventually kill him anyway). The first trick he learns with his power is how to shoot a bow and arrow really well, which his father (who isn't really his father) taught him.

SOT: Richard finds out he has strange powers that will kill him if he doesn't learn to control them. The first trick he learns with his power is how to shoot a bow and arrow really well, which his father (who isn't really his father) taught him.

WOT: Stone of Tear (great fortress)

SOT: Stone of Tears (weird gem)

WOT: The seals that keep the Dark One in his prison are weakening

SOT: The "veil" that keeps the "Keeper" in his prison is weakening (book 2)

WOT: Warders

SOT: Wardens

WOT: Suldame and Damane (Suldame put collars on Damane to control and "teach" them)

SOT: Sister of the Light(?) and Wizards (Sisters of the Light put collars on Wizards to control and "teach" them)

It really goes on and on. If I remember more, I'll post them if anyone is interested :-)
