YES!! I was trying to find the longest NZ place name, back when we had this original thread about Llanfair. Just located it - it's a little hill of no particular visual significance, and its name is Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwenuaki-tanatahu.

It translates as "The place where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, who slid, climbed, and swallowed mountains (known as Landeater), played on his flute to his loved one."

Brunnen-"I think I'll just call it Taumatawhakatangihanga for short"G
