jet lag

Just got home.
Terrible jet lag.
Flew all night, 6000 miles.
Brain on critical list.
Four days on Kauai and three on Oahu.
I almost walked myself to death, ate too much, but had a great time. I still didn't do the Diamond Head hike, but as always, I promise to do it next trip.

We stayed in a cottage at Kohala just two blocks from the Old Town and five minutes from Poipu Beach. We saw the Na Pali Cliffs from the beach at the end of the road and then drove up by the canyon and looked 4000 feet down the cliffs. If you haven't seen it, you couldn't believe it.
Then on to old Waikiki where we stayed at the Edgewater. (Not a plush hotel but comfortable and well located. We've stayed there before.) I know I'm the wrong age-group, but we went to a Britney Spears concert on the beach. There were a zillion people there and about half were older than me, so there!

Don't ask about the wild chickens. Aw, what the heck. Ask.
On a scale of one to ten:
Climate - 10
Food - 9
Prices - 5
Ocean - 10
Rental car-7
Cottage on Kauai-8.5
Hotel room at Waikiki-7
Concert-6.5
People-9.9 (Saw one Grump, a tourist)
Flights-3 to 10
Airline food-2
Downtown Honolulu-9 (My highest rating for a big city,)
TheBus-8.75
Pacific-10
Three hours at Chicago O'Hare-0

More later if my brain recovers.
Howard
