Let me get this straight. You don't see what the problem is, but you don't care about any of this anyway? So what are you speaking up for in the first place? Those of us who LIKE the spectacle and glitz and game of the Oscars need not even think about it to know why it's a bad idea. Where's the suspense? Where's the excitement and anticipation that comes with seeing the winners announced and, shaken, ascend the stage to accept the award? You evidently don't care about any of this, which is fine, but some of us do.

As for the journal, they had five of the top six awards. Not so amazing. Several predictions were as or more accurate.
