As I mentioned on another nickname-related thread that's somewhere back there on the forum, my real name is Cody, and the nickname "Code-man" had become popular among my peers because it was used for the main character of a certain TV show which shall remain unnamed [ahem, Step by Step]. And as for the 38, I was contestant #38 in the National Spelling Bee a few years back.
